Panda Bear Person Pitch

I often read Pitchfork, yes. I found out about the release of this album from Pitchfork. Clearly, I was curious to listen to it, especially because I like Animal Collective, even though this album is quite different. I liked it a lot; it stands out from mediocrity and has a good vibe too.

I can hear the latest of LCD now, am I wrong or do I hear a lot, perhaps too much, of Kraftwerk sometimes (I mean, it's fine to pay homage, but what’s the point of reproducing a sequence of Kraftwerk sounds throughout the entire track as in the first song?)

however, to me LCD Soundsystem seems different from the punk funk of The Rapture, even more so than !!! and it doesn't seem like an imitation of the Talking Heads either. There is much more electronics in LCD, and rather it’s a mix of music that draws from a wide range of the past, a great blender of sounds that are not original but cannot be traced back to a single reference.

Reunions are for the failures, those whose careers are fading. Those who still have a bit of success, like Paul Weller and Morrissey, don't do them. The Pixies lose out because they only did a live reunion (which was amazing, by the way) and I hope they never record anything new.

uxo I'm sorry you were offended by the review of Faletti. But come on, enough now, right? This is the third review on Patrick Wolf; I think explaining who he is every time is a bit redundant, just read the other two. I don't think there are many in music like Robert Smith. As for the detractors of this album, what can I say? I expected it, the record is pop to the core, perhaps it winks less at the higher echelons of intellect, but it's an album that grows on you, it's very pleasant and relaxing. Undoubtedly, it's Wolf's most commercial album, but the quality, in my opinion, remains. Of course, de gustibus...

I had spotted them on Pitchfork too. We have the same sources. I'm concerned that it seems like the band is shifting towards the pop of the second half (a new EP should be coming out soon) which is decent but inferior to their more intense tracks.
Giorgio Faletti Signor Tenente

In fact, pychopompe, you have caught the spirit of my provocation filled with vile sarcasm. I didn't want to insult anyone's tastes, let alone, but just to vent about this trend of excessively praising people who don't deserve it. Revivalism is all the rage. Now we have to reevaluate everything and everyone. These people are not atrocious; we need to avoid manicheism as well, bringing everything back to what it is: average, mediocre people doing average things. Just think, I even read the first book by Faletti. Its merit is that it flows quickly, but the dialogues and characters are ridiculous. Like many other bestsellers, of course, but that's what they are—little novels that are not horrible but mediocre.

Yes, we are lucky in Italy to have geniuses in every field like Faletti, people who can do everything, skilled in all the arts of human knowledge. I’m proud to live in Italy in 2007. And it’s not just him; we have many geniuses, it’s truly a fertile period, like the Renaissance in Florence.

In what sense frivolous? It seems strange to associate that with Mark E. Smith, who strikes me as the least frivolous man on the face of the earth.
