Once there was something called MESSAGE, and today many have told it to fuck off, preferring a pop and commercial turn that has distorted punk and its original intentions. Period. Then all this myriad of punk, ska, and similar little groups might sound good, but they mostly remain trendy, faux-alternative acts that exploit superficial stereotypes that have nothing to do with the true punk attitude, the real, anarchic one... For me, Sigur Ròs are paradoxically punk because they create anarchic, unclassifiable music, or Godspeed You Black Emperor!, but when it comes to people like the aforementioned Porno Riviste, don't talk to me about punk, please...

In any case, I agree that it was a gradual flow; perhaps "Melody Of..." is the moment when the perfect mediation was achieved between the two souls of the group, the abrasive and noisy one and the more melodic and pop one. Yeah, maybe I exaggerated with the Sanremo comparison, but the arrangement really has that Ariston vibe O_O look at the distinction between the first and second periods of Blonde Redhead, I think it’s spot on, because comparing "Fake Can Be Just As Good" to the latest one, you can definitely notice quite a few differences... come on, it's like listening to "Ego Maniac Kid" and then "Elephant Woman" ;DD
