Don't you find it ridiculous to make these rhetorical and accusatory speeches in 2004? Being on the left doesn't necessarily mean being a Stalinist or in favor of gulags; I see that you have a rather distorted view of reality. I condemn any dictatorship, regardless of its color, simply because dictatorship is a limitation of the personal freedoms of the individual, which are a fundamental and undeniable prerogative. So for me, it doesn't matter whether we talk about Hitler, Stalin, Pinochet, Pol-Pot, or Mao; it's always the same damn story, and it always will be, period.
