The album with Toshinori Kondo is more acid-jazz; if you like it, also check out some of his collaborations with Ronny Jordan. The latest one is practically new age; I listened to some tracks on the website, but I didn't like it very much. Trust me on this, it's S-T-R-A-O-R-D-I-N-A-R-I-O ;D

Jordan, I don't know what to tell you; let's just say we live in a very traditional country where new trends and sounds struggle to assert themselves. This is not just true for hip hop, but it's a broader issue that encompasses all music and more. Think of a city like my Naples, where there are no venues, where Xiu Xiu plays in a 2-meter by 3 room in front of 10 people, where there is no club culture, where Daddy G from Massive Attack has to go to some remote place in the outskirts (A Sant'Antimo, I really wonder who the hell was there!!!). In short, let's just say NO COMMENT :-/

True, I haven't listened to them but I read on Rumore that many criticize them for an excessive baroque style in the arrangements. I'll give them a listen... Anyway, check out Arcade Fire, they are really good ;)

Have you ever thought of impalement as a heroic act?

It's nice, Taunus, but "Life From The Other Side" is something else, an incredible punch! If you haven't heard it, give it a listen; I've had it in heavy rotation on the stereo for quite some time :D
