No kidding, I found someone with a .rar archive containing complete discographies of CAN, Ash Ra Tempel, Popol Vuh, Neu!, Guru Guru, and Tangerine Dream. Total mind-blowing stuff :D

Listen to "Confusion Is Sex," "Bad Moon Rising," "EVOL," "Sister," and "Daydream Nation." They must have something to tell you, for better or for worse ;)

The first one is beautiful, this one is definitely less so. More polished, played better, I agree, but also less immediate, more easy, more funk/dance/rock franzferdineggiante, it doesn't convince me. "Turn On The Bright Lights" is much better.
U2 All That You Can't Leave Behind
Voto:
I think the best thing for any group is to disband when there's a noticeable decline in inspiration and to maintain their dignity. I must admit I've never been a big fan of U2, but in my opinion, after "Up," they could have easily packed it in, maybe even earlier. They had their time, and "Up" could have been a decent career closure; instead, no, they keep bothering us with meaningless albums, recycling like crazy, not to mention Bono the billionaire writing in his lyrics at 50, "Make love, not war...". In short, they really risk falling into the pathetic, unless they've already done so. Of course, there are unique cases, like Sonic Youth, who after 22 years and 18 albums managed to release a great record like "Sonic Nurse" or "Hindros 3," but those remain rare occurrences. For the rest, we have to witness overweight rockstars bombarding us with crap CDs, stubbornly refusing to understand that after 10 or 20 years, it's time to pass the torch. Good for them...
