The singer has an insane voice anyway :)) In my opinion, they should follow the experience of Isis, that is: put a bit of the grind-sludge-hardcore influences in the background, deepen the "psychedelic and ambient" ones and, above all, clean up the sound and refine the production. Damn, who are the poor man's Luzzatto? :D
James Brown Live at the Apollo

I saw him in my beloved Naples, Perez, at the Palapartenope about 2 years ago. Ok, the acoustics were crap, just a little over an hour and a quarter of concert, but seeing him dance, sing like a god, and throw microphone stands everywhere was totally worth it :D Plus, damn, James in the '70s was at least 20 years ahead of everyone; he was already doing rap (funny how even the Huns and Visigoths raided that). Respect to my fellow townsman Nick and his feats, which need to be done to avoid paying!!! :DDD

I adore "The Boss"! :)) Imagine, he was constantly launching the microphone stand forward like a punch ball and catching it mid-air, and every time we would accompany it with a OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!! Truly amazing :D

Anyway, the James I prefer is the one from the '70s, the one from "The Payback," "Sex Machine," or the soundtrack of "Black Ceasar," oh my, what style... And I even saw him live a couple of years ago, legendary, he looks like a twenty-year-old :))

But "I Got Ya" isn't by James Brown, it's by Joe Tex, or am I wrong? :-O

Open are good, but I think they still need to mature; keep in mind that this album is from 2002... I'm waiting for a new album from them, and also something new from Breach, two bands from which we can expect a lot.
