I will welcome the suggestions ;-) You might want to listen to "Violent By Design" by Jedi Mind Tricks, a rap group that creates musical backgrounds by sampling 99.9% of classical music pieces and compositions. For the "Long Live Cultural Exchange" series :D

I know, Grass, but I actually appreciate it quite a bit; there is a lot to learn from geniuses like Beethoven, Vivaldi, Bach, or Chopin for anyone who wants to make even a minimal attempt at production or composition. Figures like Stockhausen, Steve Reich, Xenakis, or Glenn Branca (just listen to "The Ascension" or any of his symphonies) admit to having been influenced by classical music in their artistic journey, not to mention those who sample it and bring it up to date, adapting it to modern trends and developments. And what about "Franz Schubert by Kraftwerk? ;D
The Clash Combat Rock

I listened to it and I was positively impressed, but I only clearly remember "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" and "Rock The Casbah," I definitely need to catch up on it. As for "London Calling," there's no need— I listen to it at least once a week ;-) For the review, you could have done better; it's clear that you appreciate the Clash quite a bit, but next time be more precise. Nice.

The track that has the dub remix is "Higher Than The Sun" anyway. Clearly, I love it in both versions :D

Mmmmm I partially agree with your argument, especially because you provide some very valid points ("I don’t know, it seems to me that a critical re-evaluative structure has been constructed around it that sought to create premises for a phenomenon of genre mixing that perhaps wasn’t even generated by that record...” I particularly like this point). Of course, the subsequent fusions move away from the experiments of "Screamadelica" (perhaps in some aspects it may seem slightly dated, I admit), but defining some moments as kitsch or bordering on ridiculous seems excessive... More than the style, I think that their supposed successors have primarily drawn inspiration from Gillespie and the others' mentality, the concept of "fusion and mixing of different genres," pop, psychedelia, rock, electronics, leading to a new conception of music that deeply marked the past decade. In this sense, I definitely consider them pioneers, beyond the alleged significance of "Screamadelica."

Great, I wasn't familiar with the album and I will get it as soon as possible. But the Danny Coffey you're talking about has nothing to do with the African American composer/musician who in the '70s scored soundtracks for most of the blaxploitation films of the era like "Black Belt Jones," right?

Yes, but do they start blissfully at 320bpm with acid storms worthy of the best Aphex Twin? If so, I’ll listen to it, I swear :-)) Immense Hal

It's Cuffaro's fault for blocking the release of all albums that do not explicitly and thoroughly express the Christian Democrat faith of their authors.
