Why shouldn't we discuss it, Charles? Is there something that can be defined as an objective masterpiece? I don't think so. I repeat, the more I keep listening to it (maybe it’s also my lack of predisposition for Rock), the less it tells me absolutely NOTHING: pompous, self-congratulatory, outdated, incomparable with the early works of Pink Floyd. It can be liked, perfectly normal, it might also be an album that marked an era, but let’s stop talking about absolute and objective masterpieces, please.

I haven't listened to the album, but "Hung Up" gets people MOVING! :D It must be the super famous sample from the legendary Abba, but the fact is I enjoy listening to it and dancing to it very much :-))

I wonder what sense it makes to review "The Wall" for the hundredth time, praising it as a masterpiece. What new insights can be gained compared to what has already been said in the last 25 years? What valid arguments can be drawn from a self-celebratory scroll written in a fit of Pink-omniscience? By the way, I think this album sucks, and I say it openly without fear of the torrent of insults that will come raining down on me! :-)) Please stop and review something else. Thank you very much.

It's true, Enea, it's a real shame that on this site for renowned indie lovers there's not even one review of the Pet Shop Boys! I was thinking about "Introspective," "Being Boring" is even included in the soundtrack of that disgrace called Melissa P. :D

I don't know, guys, for me they were really great pioneers, at least up to "Computer World." This album, however, feels a bit like twilight, also because by then they were already ready to pass the baton to various New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Ultravox, and the like. Moral of the story: it doesn't seem so "ahead" compared to the previous masterpieces, but it still remains a (decent) work by Kraftwerk ;-) Cheers.
