I prefer it to "Transatlanticism," it's more pop and upbeat. The Indie aficionados won't certainly agree :-))

"In an album like In Between, I found very few interesting things, perhaps spoiled by the genre that, if it wasn't clear, doesn't exactly drive me crazy." <-- A clear example: it's as if I were trying to review a Manowar, Stratovarius, or Guns N' Roses album. The concept is always the same ;-))

So you would have reviewed an album you've only listened to twice? An album like "In Between," which for me requires much more listening to grasp all its nuances? Additional points that further fuel my doubts about your review ;-)

Perhaps the only track I like the least is "Hanazono," excessively baroque, but still, we are talking about an album that, in my opinion, should be rated around 4.5/5. I welcome a scathing review, but only if it's based on convincing arguments and reasons, things that in this pseudo-provocative review are, for me, lacking.

Among the DeGeneri you include, apart from Downtempo, the others seem really a bit haphazard, especially that "Dance," which feels almost like a caricature of the worst Zelig.

As for Jamiroquai, "Travelling Without Moving" is one of my favorite albums, and I also don't mind their latest work... We're on two parallel dimensions, dear Pun :-))

No need, Punisher, I own the original and it deserves a 5 just for the packaging ;-) By the way, I also love the previous productions from the Germans at Kompakt, like "Coffey Talk," both in the original version and in the extraordinary RMX by Yukuhiro Fukutomi, featured on many fine compilations from previous years.

The frantic cut & paste of "L.O.V.E. And You & I" can be found at Buddha Bar? The Nu-Soul of "No Use" from Buddha Bar? The London D&B drumming of "Mwela Mwela" from Buddha Bar? The feat of Vikter Duplaix in "Soon" and "Wasted Time" from Buddha Bar? Allow me a bit of perplexity, if you please.

I can't resist Mondo Marcio, among my favorites tied with GDV and Cricca Dei Balordi.
