But excuse me, the statement "Italy is the land of beautiful singing" seems really insufficient to justify a character like Mondo Marcio. Italy is also the land of Perigeo, Osanna, Krisma, Battiato, Bluvertigo, Marlene Kuntz, or (to stick with Rap and similar genres) various Kaos, Dj Gruff, Colle Der Fomento, Gente Guasta, Neffa, Radical Stuff, Next Diffusion, Chief & Soci, and so on. I don't want to decree and assert that the names I've mentioned are necessarily "better," but it is nonetheless a way to emphasize the fact that we live in a country where one doesn't have to settle for easy-listening. On the contrary, there are interesting underground musical realities, among others, that may struggle to assert themselves among the masses, but still strongly assert their existence, past and present. Therefore, the reasons you use to justify a spoiled buffoon like the aforementioned pseudo-Rapper (in my opinion) seem really trivial and superficial.
