How ugly, "krautrock." It may be a limitation of mine, but I really can't stand it (and it feels like a somewhat pejorative label). I tried listening to the album, but I find it too difficult and tied to the psychedelia of that period. I prefer their later albums, especially those from the mid/late Seventies.

You reminded me of the DJ set by the great Aphex Twin at Rephlexeve in Rome, it was New Year's Eve 2010/2011. At one point, they started filming and projecting the audience members disguised with his big face, just as good old Riccardo was layering an obsessive beat over the piece by Ligeti chosen by Kubrick for the soundtrack of "Eyes Wide Shut." Moments of unprecedented paranoia. I read the book many years ago; I should find it again. You, as always, impressive.
