Aside from the allusions to Jim's joints and the really bad reception, let me just say it’s a terrible page. Plus, I have an annoying bean dish turning in my stomach, a real remedy for my colitis. As for the licking, I am the Master Of Tongue, so every chain of slurps must go through my lovely behind, clear? And now cough up the money to stay in Serie A, it’s 10 euros for every 10 lines ;P

So, as was to be expected, the usual flood of revolutionary and anarchic comments erupted against the choices of the site, the editors, and anyone else you can think of. Let’s clarify: I edited the review myself and freely chose to include it in the Editor's Choice out of fondness and nostalgia for those years spent tagging on walls and listening to Rap 24/7. This (non)review of good ol' Caz immediately brought back that nostalgic feeling and, although it hardly spends a word on the individual tracks and sounds, I believe it perfectly captures the atmosphere of those years and the music of NTM, of street life in the suburbs of Paris, and of those who aren't sure if they'll make it to the end of the month or week. That said, feel free to take aim at me (who takes responsibility for highlighting the aforementioned review), and skip the usual proclamations of the October Revolution. Right?

I can't help but give a 5 to everything, it's all about the nostalgia factor. Great comeback, damn :D

Antonino, I remain an incorrigible "Pop-addicted." In past years, I undoubtedly joined the debate of "commercial vs underground," definitely leaning towards the latter (in the Rap realm, of course, a genre I still prefer). As time went on, and especially after hitting the big 2-0, I started to appreciate not only genres I had never explored before but also products that are objectively more "accessible" and, why not, commercial. Give it time, and you’ll probably start to change your views too :-)

Useless decade? I completely disagree, Antonino. Of course, I too regret the musical glories of the past century, but I cannot deny that since 2000, many respectable albums have been released, not just in Rock. Let's not throw all the grass in one bundle, please ;-)

The cover would almost make you think it's a '70s Funk compilation :-)

Odra, I also listened to the samples you kindly shared with the DeBasico crowd, and some of them I quite like, though those leaning more towards Folk-Blues tend to bore me a bit. It seems to me that the good Fink hasn’t quite decided which path to take and has produced an album that feels like a "transition" piece, but I repeat, these are clearly purely subjective impressions ;-)

I instead like it, indeed I appreciate very much the accentuation of the rhythmic component in the wake of the Disco period of the late '70s. An album to be reassessed.

Dear Giorgio, we are too rough to listen to albums like that! I was thinking about reviewing "Constant Mutation" by Hellfish & Producer or "The Worst Of DJ Promo" from the ultimate Hardcore DJ :-)))

Odra, as always one of the best reviewers in the DeBaser universe. An intriguing proposal, but I believe that, even without knowing the artist in question, I will end up preferring the twisted Funk-Rap of the debut. Hi, and once again congratulations on the choice :-))
