An album for the background, in short, right from the expressive cover ;-))
Pharrell In My Mind
Voto:
I admit I haven't listened to the album (aside from the singles in heavy rotation on the radio and TV..), I'm not a huge fan of the artist, and I prefer him in a production role. However, I might change my mind, especially trusting in the very personal style of the two Neptunes and the pearl-like beats they've released over the years for artists like Kelis, Sade, Snoop Dogg, and many more. The review has a good flow, although you could have skipped a bit of… gratuitous profanity, okay? ;-)
Jackie Mittoo The Keyboard King At Studio One
Voto:
Look, in Roots-Reggae the influence of Funk and Black Music from those years is remarkable; just listen to the productions from Trojan to realize it immediately. Jackie Mittoo is undoubtedly a forerunner, as you rightly remember, but he has nonetheless played a significant role in building that Jamaica-USA bridge that delights groove enthusiasts and genre aficionados alike ;-)

This is a gem for true enthusiasts, congratulations. I only have a few singles from the great Jackie, but I love his style and, in general, all of the early '70s Roots-Reggae. Do you also know the great Ken Boothe? Saludos :-)
New Order Technique

Reflecting on the titles you remember among their best works, I feel compelled to include (and above all) "Power, Corruption & Lies". I am familiar with the album by reputation but not by experience; I will rectify that. Great review ;-)

Great closing.
Giardini Di Mirò Rise and Fall of Academic Drifting

I, on the other hand, especially appreciate the musical and purely instrumental side of Post-Rock, especially if influenced by sounds close to Ambient, Electronica, etc... Paradoxically, a deficit ends up representing, in this case, one of the strengths of a genre in constant evolution. Let the music speak ;-)

Everything is great.

What a ridiculous page!

An album that I cannot fully appreciate, and that, despite the presence of great tracks like "Airbag," "Paranoid Android," and "Karma Police," always ends up feeling too disconnected and scattered. I prefer the previous "The Bends." Great review, which I mostly disagree with on some personal viewpoints. Bye :-)
