Useless pompousness? But where?
Talib Kweli & Madlib Liberation

After a first listen: quite strange... Beyond Madlib's beats (always solid, even if, at times, a bit pretentious), it's Talib Kweli himself who seems less convincing, already for quite some time... The days of Reflection Eternal feel really far away...

It's 5, maybe that's a little too much...

One could have easily added a Techno to the DeGeneri as well.

Moby Go - The Very Best of Moby
Voto:
After "18" (which never seemed so "wonderful" to me, rather more like a "Play-bis"..) he has only released one work, "Hotel", nothing special.. Beyond Moby's undeniable value, there are artists who have followed a similar path, reaching definitely higher quality levels.. One name for all: Nightmares On Wax.. The collection in question can be a good way to get a rough idea of the various phases of his career, otherwise you can go for the first self-titled album, "Moby", and the acclaimed breakthrough album, "Play".. The sampler, in any case, he was already using it before, and quite a bit too.. ;-)

I believe that the term "Hardcore" is not being used here in reference to the genre being discussed, but rather to its electronic variant. Old School Hardcore exploded in the first half of the '90s, and groups like The Prodigy with "Experience" and 4 Hero with "In Rough Territory" are, I think, some of the most "prominent" representatives of the scene. The New School of Hardcore, on the other hand, began to spread from the late '90s onwards, especially in Germany and the United States, featuring figures like DJ Promo, Catscan, Ron Gee, the American Stunned Guys, Hellfish & Producer, and reaching truly extreme territories, like those of the various Breakcore, Speed, Noisecore scenes, and whatever else you can think of. Here, in any case, Hardcore in the vein of Fugazi or Husker Du doesn't really have much to do with it. ;-)
