Tobey McGuire gives it his all trying to TomHanksify his character, with that goodness and those wide, nerdy eyes. In this film, he uncovers his dark side thanks to a gum-like blob that sticks to the license plate of the Ciao Piaggio, his mode of transportation that disappoints the kids behind me (Ih, why is Spider-Man riding around on a Ciao?). The spider-gum becomes a new suit for Peter, and thus the lucky guy comes into contact with his dark half. This manifests as he goes around like Travolta hunting for hot looks and dances at the jazz club where his girl (the chunky Kirsten Durst, not my type, small tits) struggles and sings standards after being kicked out of a musical for being caught braying. <-- At this point, I really lost it... :D
