The Wailers Burnin'

@Ghem: speaking of the Roots, have you ever heard the updated version of "Burnin & Lootin" on "Chant Down Babylon"? It's spine-tingling... As for the review, it doesn't seem so childish to me; on the contrary, it presents a perspective that seems personal, constructive, and well-reasoned, light years away from the pretentious and hollow criticisms... You probably should have talked a bit more about the album, which I consider one of the best from dear Bob, alongside "Catch A Fire"... Bless! :-)

Fully recovered, he walks, talks, and gets angry... Is the book you’re recommending the one you copied the review from, Poletti?

It's very true, I was there two years ago... Plenty of thieving taxi drivers in Crotone, being from Naples I'm flabbergasted... :D

Epic are Poletti's comments, especially when he claims to have read in the newspapers that it's a disgrace... The poor man's Guido Maria Riccardelli, indeed...

@Sciacallo: if I were you, I would also consider "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" by Raekwon and "Liquid Swords" by GZA... See the logo? A monument of Hip-Hop, carved out, in the giant landscape, of broken rocks... I love them.

While we're at it.... How underground and raw is "Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars" by Killarmy? Killarmy, we're the last Armageddon... Highly recommended.

I highly recommend you to travel back in time to 1994, the year "Brooklyn Zoo" was released... That's the real Ol' Dirty Bastard, the rest is fluff... When it comes to Ghostface Killah, I much prefer "Supreme Clientele" to "Iron Man"; it has always seemed to me a much more mature album compared to the debut from '96... Speaking of Wu-Tang, this morning I had "The Last Shall Be First" by Sunz Of Man in my MP3 player... Another knockout! :D
