@Giubbo: to me it seems that your view is excessively biased, and it makes me understand that music built for supposed "nocturnal escapades" should be discredited a priori in your opinion... Personally, I think the opposite, and I believe that an album like this can be easily listened to in any "habitat," if you allow me the term...

In 2005, we had Soulwax, Moby, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, and it wasn't bad... However, the review is terrible.

Since we're at it: (what a clever move to sample the bass from "Guns Of Brixton"!)

@McFly: thank you... It's true, it's been ten years since its release but it still sounds very relevant... Perhaps I'll take this opportunity to include some samples of the lesser-known tracks (everyone practically knows the singles!). I take this chance to apologize for the duplicate, but the review that was already there didn't convince me at all: pairing the name Norman Cook with terms like "dance" means understanding very little about the subject at hand (I apologize to the reviewer)...

I agree, however, when you say that at times it almost seems like Beth Gibbons' voice and the musical carpets run on two parallel tracks... It’s precisely the single that gives me this impression, perhaps it’s the piece that, more than any other, leaves me absolutely puzzled…

I saw them live in Milan... The thing that stood out was the abyssal difference between the old and new songs, both in sound and, in my opinion, quality as well... Maybe it was the change of direction, but I didn't like it.... PS: I absolutely don't agree with the photocopy effect that one might sense in the first two albums; I prefer the second, actually....

Especially for those who are not jazz lovers, or at least for those who don't limit themselves to a traditional conception of Jazz, and who are not afraid of crossovers.... THE CREATOR HAS A MAAAASTERPLAAAAN....
