Fabrice du Welz Calvaire

Oh my goodness, the bar scene... Just the thought of it gives me goosebumps...

The landscapes are beautiful, and the shooting techniques are excellent. As for the story, yes, there are nods to horror cults, but the atypical setting and the vague hint at the paranormal save the film. Too bad about some clichés... Rating: 3.5

Or rather: I didn't dislike it...

It's similar to others, but it has a surprising ending (which perhaps puts the credibility of the entire film at stake, but personally, it took me by surprise). Calvaire is BEAUTIFUL, a raw film (like ham?) and truly frightening, although there are few genuinely "violent" scenes in the movie. What do you think of Frontier(s)? It may be filled with quotes and borrowings from various horror classics, but I liked it...

Ron Geremy is a chubby, slimy, and disgusting guy, but in his life, he has hooked up with quite a few beautiful women. And what can we say about the good Francesco Malcom? Yet another proof that to be a porn actor, you don't have to be a model. You just need to have a great...
Salvador Dalì La Persistenza della Memoria
Voto:
I prefer The Destruction of the Persistence of Memory. The courage to destroy and rebuild one’s own work (in addition to the suppression of the weight of time) is something absolutely admirable. It is clear that good Dalì had learned the lesson from old Friedrich Nietzsche...
John Carpenter Il seme della follia
Voto:
Maybe not the best of good Giovanni Carpentiere (personally, I prefer Escape From New York, The Thing, and They Live), but undoubtedly one of the most relevant of his career. A bit on the long side, you could have been a tad more concise. But you know how it is, Christmas is just around the corner...

Yes, sometimes they come back, like David Lynch's nightmares... Thank you all, lads. What can I say, I watched the movie twice (once in the original language, the other at the cinema) and I really liked it. Perhaps the only flaw is the somewhat vague hint at the vision of the afterlife, but maybe it’s better that way... Anyway, the French horror genre is very interesting; Haute Tension and Calvaire have also impressed me quite a bit. A circular hug and see you soon!
Xavier Gens Frontiers - Ai Confini Dell'Inferno

In my opinion, it's a nice movie, even though the influences are quite noticeable. I'm actually not averse to the French horror scene. 4 to raise the average...

Of course, I have it. Absolutely brilliant collection.
