It is definitely an album that impresses with how deeply it digs into those who listen to/live through/suffer it. Sure, all those screams can get tiring after a while, but it's right that it is so, after all (what has been, what will be, et cetera...). A truly emo-tional, emo-tive work, without bangs and useless frills. Ste, you wrote a treatise, more than a review :-)

@Moody: the albums/EPs from the early '90s are (for me and not just me) more beautiful. Green and Brown Album, the Satan EP, Halcyon, Mutations... It's their most primal and effective sound, while still being elaborate (and the Brown Album is an example of that). After that, I don't know, they took other paths that I find less convincing... In Sides, which is so highly praised, doesn't bring me any enjoyment at all.
