The pizzardone (pizzardóne in Romanesco, pizzardó in central Marche dialects, pizardó in Anconitan) is the name used to identify local police officers in various areas of central Italy. In the Milanese dialect, it corresponds to the word ghisa, in the Turin dialect to the word cìvich, in the Genoese dialect to the word cantunè, in the Venetian dialect to the word ghebo, and in the Triestine dialect to the word tubo, referencing the typical shape of the hat.

That fatigue you talk about, I sensed it over a decade ago, when I saw them live during the "Wow" tour. I remembered them as energetic, young, and rock during the days of "Solo un grande sasso" or "Il suicidio del samurai," but I found a band that had aged a bit, lackluster, having lost the grit of their early albums. Some tracks felt forcedly mature and singer-songwriter-like, as if they were trying to prove they had grown up but hadn’t quite succeeded. Even when they played the old songs, they seemed dull to me; ultimately, they made me feel sad, and I preferred to "abandon them," as they say in these cases. This year’s album didn’t appeal to me; in fact, I find that "Sui ghiacciai" and some softer, simpler, and less noisy tracks are better than others. Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh, but I believe they have had their time, both musically and in live performances. What a pity.

Since I finished reading, I keep staring at my smartphone screen, rubbing my chin. Is that a good sign? As for the young lady in question, the piece published among the listens has a nice electronic drumming, however the whispered voice is a bit unsettling, the guitar distortions and dissonances leave me quite puzzled. I'll think about it before tackling the album. Great recommendation, though.
