Ryan Adams Love Is Hell, Pt. 1
Voto:
love is hell (part 1 and part 2) is a masterpiece, it is a heartfelt and magnificent tribute to the music of the Smiths and Morrissey (who is Adams' idol).

All in all, it’s a great album; Ryan Adams plays with the clichés of rock and comes out on top!
Ryan Adams Gold
Voto:
great review..the album is excellent one of the best released in recent years...there's everything in it, not just dylan and young but also massive doses of rolling stones, beatles..in short, everything that was great in the '60s and '70s in the music scene...ryan adams has immense talent in the art of songwriting, as he had already shown with his band, Whiskeytown bringing fresh air into the country scene!

Kosmo, I’m really calm, but if I don’t like your review, what can I do about it? I really liked the others I’ve read (Campbell’s is perhaps the best on the site!), but this one I don’t like. If you (and others) prefer that I don’t comment anymore when I don’t like a review (yours or others’)... well, that means I won’t comment anymore...
Bob Dylan Oh Mercy
Voto:
In the first volume of the autobiography, Oh Mercy plays a central role; it is, in every sense, the heart of the entire book. New Orleans, Daniel Lanois, the challenges in the recording studio, all described in meticulous detail, just like all the songs. In particular, I really like what Dylan says about Man in the Long Black Coat and its recording: …the harmonic progression, the dominant chords and the key changes give the song its hypnotic effect, foreshadowing what the verses are about to do. The fatal introduction conveys a sense of chronic impatience. The arrangement has a desolate cadence, as if the city's intervals have faded away. It is carved from the depths of darkness, visions of a crazed brain, a feeling of unreality, the high price of gold placed on someone's head. Nothing stands firm; even corruption is corrupt. Something threatening and terrible draws ever closer, huddling into the smallest possible space… It was clear that the struggle had begun before the verses even started… The verses would tell the story of someone whose body does not belong to them; someone who loved life but cannot live, and it damns their soul to know that others are capable of living…."

P.S. of course I know very well that records are now available even before the release date (online and in this case I believe that in some countries like England the release has been anticipated). (a necessary clarification to prevent unnecessary misunderstandings!)

You're right bbrother, I haven't listened to the album... but a review talks about an album, this one doesn't, it talks about the band and other nonsense. I voted for what the review is about and since I know the band... and then the doubt came to me first since the album in question hasn't been released yet. When you read reviews that talk about everything except what they should... just to create a virtual preview as if debaser were a magazine, that could be a controversy and not the orthodox reviews. Because I'm not in favor of those latter ones, I'm just saying that with the excuse that this is debaser, someone exaggerates by writing their own mental wankery, then they slap on the title of an album and the game is done. So dear bigbrother and dear kosmogabri, if I’m repetitive and predictable, it’s because you are too, and I am free to leave my comments and votes because this is DEBASER!

From our favorite musicians, we only want them to make good music (it seems fundamental to me!). Instead, these... and even the review talks about everything except music!

Hal, sorry but it seems like a joke to me if you're asking me to explain what objectivity is...

How naive you are... you have a lot of confusion, you confuse everything... I just hope the fog in your mind is due to some good "additive" and when it clears, sunshine will return... sooner or later it will come back, right?!
