@Ione, I didn't actually review the album because even the stones know it. I communicated a state of mind related to that album. But why do you think that when the one hundred thirty-third review of "Genesis", "Pink Floyd", or "Whatchamacallit" is published, it gets flooded with one-star ratings and rapid-fire comments? Because they are all the same. All with the usual track-by-track breakdown, all regurgitating the same bullshit for decades, photocopy reviews of albums that everyone knows as well as their own dick. Every now and then, there are also feelings, what a piece or an album can pull out from the deepest depths of the soul. There's not just the practical side to things; otherwise, we would be machines. It's an album that doesn't need much saying: released in 1981, a million copies sold, some particularly introspective and reflective lyrics (the title track, "Le ragazze dell'est" - "I vecchi" - "Fotografie" - and the quartet of snippets called "1" - "2" - "3" and "4" that start from "51 Montesacro and everything began, in a sublet and a wall that sweated..."), it was rightly identified as the album of maturation, with arrangements by Geoff Westley who collaborated with Battisti in 1978 for the album "Una donna per amico", and so much pop, predominantly commercial, but certainly well-crafted, as was typical for the fresh sounds straddling the '70s and '80s. But remember that feelings often prevail. For 80% of DeBasistici, this album will provoke looseness and diarrhea, and good for them. For another 20%, nostalgia, memories, and whatnot... I belong to the 20, Baglioni doesn't drive me crazy; out of the twenty albums he released, I praise 5 or 6 at most, and I feel particularly attached to this album, but I didn't want to do a technical analysis on a product that has very little technique, but which at certain moments in my life has accompanied me. Reviewing on DeBaser is also about expressing emotions.

The most brilliant universal concept album of the eighties, rivaled only by "Cantasnorky" and "Kiss me Licia e i Bee Hive."

"one of the best prog albums ever made in Italy," I don't agree. Still, an honorable record. 3.5 for me as well.

Enormous in the three albums of the biennium seventy-four seventy-five and excellent for the rest of the decade.

Great review, the only thing I don’t agree with is "the stunning cover." But the robe doesn’t make the monk (at least in this case) and the album is highly promoted. Uaitdiùk is in great revival.
