Hahaha here it is, the classic know-it-all Italian who spouts opinions. Listen to me, I listen to between 50 and 100 albums a week, across all genres... and among all the music I listen to from innovative groups doing something new, there are really very few out there these days... I simply took one of their demos and reviewed it. I could have picked any random Ride the Lightning or some other well-known album to tell the uninformed like you the same old nonsense, but I didn’t. I simply liked the demo, I like the band's musical proposal, which you judge as two idiots, but in my opinion, they belong to that small circle of people who enjoy experimenting. I have a fairly open-minded attitude; I also like old school and less experimental stuff, of course, but I believe it’s right to occasionally vary and listen to something underground. It's no coincidence that I have a vast collection of old and new demos, EPs, and splits from underground bands. Don’t you think the same as me? Great, I understand, whatever. But don’t come here acting like a Sunday commentator, just like all those (there are many like you) who infest various forums and start criticizing by bringing up the usual Tokio Hotel, "bimbominkia," and other nonsense that I read daily. Boring. I liked the demo and I wanted to talk about it; I liked the concept and the lyrics, and of course, the music. It’s not as you understood it, that I'm worshiping them, due to my age or other crap. I’m 19 years old, and regardless of that, I’ve always been an open-minded person, especially when it comes to music. I simply shared what I listened to, a good demo from an underground band. That’s it.

Once I bought the album, I wanted to write this review myself! ;) Anyway, I think that in Italy people are very strange; when a band does the same things over and over, they say it’s boring, and when they release a different album, they say it’s awful, that they've lost their touch, etc. Of course, I'm not referring to the reviewer... I’m speaking generally! I've been listening to Korn for several years now, I’ve always had a pretty open mindset, and I’m someone who has loved all their albums – I believe they’re all very enjoyable to listen to. I really liked both Syotos and Untitled, which everyone seems to hate or despise. And even this one, after hearing it just once in streaming, I liked a lot; it piqued my curiosity! The atmospheres are certainly more raw than Untitled, which I believe was their most melodic album, and this one is much less robotic than Syotos. So, I don’t just see it as a return to old sounds... I see it more as a mix of everything from the past (the last two albums included) along with some new influences, and I can’t wait to buy it.

Terrifying just as much as Music for Hashashins. I remember when I was lent it, I immediately put it in the crappy mini stereo I had as soon as I got home. The atypical sounds, the loud volume, and the low quality of the stereo and its speakers made the neighbors burst in armed with brooms after just 5 minutes, thinking we were in danger!

Hey there! I'm a newbie on deBaser too! Great first review! Personally, I love Korn; I'm one of those who appreciates all their albums, including SYOTOS and UNTITLED, because I think Korn have always made good albums, each one different from the other, without ever repeating themselves. And the last two albums that everyone hates, either because they say the creators have lost their minds or sold out, or because many believe they don't represent the "real" Korn due to the members leaving, are no exception. Issues, which many call the turning point album, is actually, in my opinion, the album that confirms that after the huge success of "Follow..", Korn didn't get a big head. This point is further reinforced in the last two albums, where they continue to differentiate their songwriting style with results that I find very good and original, in what everyone calls NU METAL, a term that I think means nothing. I've always considered Korn to be Alternative Metal, which isn't a precise genre but indicates, to me, all the facets and influences of Korn's music. I eagerly await the new album, which from the previews I've heard on Amazon seems very good. Cheers!
