I don't know her, but the comparison to Sheryl Crow chills me, someone I have followed (I had the second one, decent, but I found The Globe Sessions, which I bought in September '98, to be a deadly bore - money wasted, in my opinion). The review is relentless.

I love the challenging ones, but if you're looking for something more tranquil, you might enjoy all the pretty little horses or black ships ate the sky... both very folk, and the first one features Nick Cave as well.

Nice mention, although I'm not a big fan of the Current. I miss the album. A clarification to avoid the usual controversies: Tibet's father fought in the war against Hitler, and Hitler was considered by Hindus to be the reincarnation of the evil god Kalki, hence the title. So let's not start saying that the Current is a band of fascists, simply because it's not true.

In fact, if someone wants to promote themselves, they could do it honestly and start the review like this: look, these are some of my friends and I’d like to tell you about them, sorry if I won’t be entirely objective, would you like to listen to a piece? etc etc... No, instead it has to seem like a random discovery of a group that really kicks ass... that’s what’s unbearable: there’s nothing wrong with self-promotion, it just should be done honestly and not by messing with people, like I’ve seen too many times not just here.

memento, thanks for the tip. I received it this morning, picked it up after reading the review and hearing something on the tube. Of the few albums from 2013 that I've listened to, this is the one I liked the most.
