"It's like receiving a fine at home and you calmly decide not to pay it because you know that nothing will happen to you anyway." This is a failure of the state, just like not providing food to children in the cafeteria while others are gorging themselves. As parents, you let it be known beforehand, "Today, the children who haven't paid for lunch won't be going." Then you find out who is taking advantage and who is struggling to make ends meet...

I'll answer for you: the Oscars are just politics and/or a way to recoup expenses, I’ve never given them much importance. I haven’t seen the film but I still want to watch it...

Comprehensive and well-written review, I haven't seen the film (I’ll catch up) while "Flags of Our Fathers" didn’t excite me at all. P.S.: reading it like this reminded me of "L'arpabirmana" (masterpiece) does it have anything to do with it or is it just my mistaken impression?
