Giving everyone Davis's 5 albums seems like an abuse to me, it means doing a disservice to his music... I don't know this one, but I have the 1st double of the "blackhawk" that I'll listen to as soon as I can... very nice review.

a super classic, timeless

Cookay, being a sideman doesn’t mean being the greatest; Falzone has made top-notch records with beautiful compositions, recorded live with fabulous solos, unlike these little decorations that are well-balanced and mixed but without much to say (maybe let me know some records by Santucci so I can look them up and evaluate them, I repeat, in this track it's hard to judge)... Parker (like many jazzmen) played dirty, but that's unforgettable music, it doesn’t need little decorations... as for the rest, Schizoid has already answered for me as well.

I see! But I found it lesser compared to other films by this great master. There are interesting things, like at the morgue and the confrontation with the inspector, disorienting, as if we were within the pages of Kafka (there are several references to Kafkaesque literature), but in the end, I found it a bit meandering and weak...

COOKAY, forgive me for saying this, but the greatest jazz trumpeter in Italy??? Are you sure about that? From this piece, I can't really judge; it's more of a seasoning trumpet than a solo... but does a certain Giovanni Falzone (among the young talents) not ring a bell for you? Is this album truly deserving of top marks? I only forgive you because you’re a friend and I understand you’re biased.

All excited because I had heard great things about it, I found it to be absolutely awful, no thrill, no moment of tension, everything predictable before it even happens, didactic direction; if you enjoy this rubbish, watch "Nosferatu," now that’s what I call chilling cinema...
