Oh, sorry, I just read your comment up here.

"filled with Sufism, Buddhism, inner search, and flashes of New Age thinking"? Battiato is Muslim, at least that's what I understand, has he converted by any chance? Anyway, certain life philosophies and thoughts are universal. Puniscier, have you ever listened to Battiato's L'Ombra Della Luce? Everyone should listen to it at least once. Who is Andrea?

Hi Primiballi, of course I wasn't referring to you when I talked about arrogance. I didn't want to start a fight, I just feel sorry to see intelligent and capable users (never mind the craniolesi) making a bad impression by getting carried away by the presumption of knowing everything. The reference to Tarantino is OBVIOUSLY a true quotation; the first quarter of an hour is very Tarantino-esque. I've never seen "Palombella Rossa" (and I also have that set aside to watch, it's one of the few movies by Moretti that I'm missing)... anyway, feelings are so subjective and personal that it's pointless to be ashamed of expressing them. Let's not care if the know-it-alls come to scold us and tell us what we should "feel" in a work. Think about it: in the scene of the meeting where Andreotti is getting his beard trimmed, it made me think of... Brian De Palma!!

A, right, I almost forgot... aside from the fact that in a work, whether it’s a film or an album, everyone sees what they want since each of us has their own sensitivity, I definitely saw Tarantino in it! There’s a scene that clearly references Reservoir Dogs; I'm surprised you didn’t notice it, Supersoul. As for Petri, I wouldn’t know; I don’t know him well. Regarding Fellini, I believe Primiballi is referring to a certain dreamlike and grotesque style in some scenes—correct me if I’m wrong, Primiballi. A little less arrogance and pretentiousness and a bit more humility would do better justice to your beautiful reviews.

I finally saw it; I had it set aside, but you gave me the opportunity to consider it. I liked it—surreal, dreamlike, filmed with originality and without deviations from the norm.
I also read about the Enbar-Supersoul controversy. It's somewhat paradoxical to be indignant that someone gives only 4 to Janis and the Doors while criticizing them for giving 5 to Faber...it seems like the ox calling the donkey horned.

If the director wanted to be innovative and original, he arrives a bit late; besides The Blair Witch Project (what a disappointment!), there was also Cloverfield. It feels like reheated soup, I don't think I'll watch it.

I’m interested, so I’ll definitely listen. I’m pleased to note that (besides the usual Zeppelin, Sabbath, Velvet, Pink Floyd) the name Hawkwind comes up often in reviews, cited as a model band.

Puniscier, Puniscier, always causing a ruckus, huh! Always arguing, you are, damn it! "Silence is a debate carried out by other means." (Ernesto Che Guevara). This time you reviewed a great subject well, and you ruin everything, as usual, with your childish ways, damn you, when, when will you grow up?
