King Crimson Red
Voto:
I have a controversial relationship with King Crimson. On one hand, I love their genius and desire to experiment, while on the other hand I sometimes find them too sophisticated in contrast to their moments that seem almost pure improvisation.... Fripp's mathematical precision sometimes catches me off guard.
Ridley Scott Robin Hood
Voto:
Ridley Scott is the creator of "The Duellists," "Alien," and "Blade Runner"... everything he has done since holds no importance for me... these 3 films are worth more than an entire career of a myriad of directors.
Lucio Dalla e Francesco De Gregori Work in Progress @ Teatro Arcimboldi (MI) 06.05.2010

I saw a little something on TV: it’s not even remotely comparable to the times of Banana Republic, but that's obvious with 30 less on my back!! These two distinguished old gentlemen made me feel a bit sentimental.

Well, I read Odradek's comment and others saying that Coldplay don't seem to resemble U2... they certainly don't in the first two albums, but in this X&Y, the similarity in at least four songs is striking... pardon me, striking to the ears... evidently, you haven't listened carefully to these tracks...

Well, the fact that it's a linear, clean, and non-demanding pop fits, but on this album they really sound like U2 in every way, no ifs ands or buts... I don't know what U2 were doing in the '70s, they were probably still in school, but I know that their first album "Boy" is from '80. The song dedicated by Martin to his wifey Gwyneth is excessively whiny; I believe it's the peak of Coldplay's whininess.
Alejandro Amenábar Mare Dentro
Voto:
I found Amenábar's "Open Your Eyes" and "The Others" excellent. I'd watch this one too, but the plot doesn't entice me; I've been avoiding sad themes lately.
Woody Allen Scoop
Voto:
Honestly, Woody's latest films don't excite me at all; I found Match Point to be really terrible... this one is nice, but, just to stay in the same vein as this film, the times of Misterioso Omicidio a Manhattan are light-years away, and not just for temporal reasons.

Ehhem, I'm not following you Teenage, it's just that I have absolutely nothing to do today and I'm reading the latest comments :)
