I don't know these. But from the way you talk about them and the comments, it seems clear that I need to get moving and give them a good listen. (damn laziness!!!). The review is really great.

Of the post-Zeppelin work, I know the album with Jimmy, No Quarter, and then Dreamland. Anyway, I have a remarkable respect and admiration for Robert Plant, not only for what he did with the Zeppelin but also for all the consistency and willingness to challenge himself that he has shown afterward. Plus, all my admiration for having said NO! to the absurd idea of a Led Zeppelin revival (except for the concert at the O2 Arena, but that was just a reunion among friends).

Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin III

There is something magical in their music. There is a passionate, instinctive, physical component, at times tribal. But it’s also cerebral music that gets into your mind, fascinates you, and hypnotizes you. Only Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix manage to strike me both in the gut and in the head with such sublime violence. I will never stop thanking them.
