Shark, unlike you, I've listened to this genre quite a bit in the past. And over time, it gets pretty frustrating. I don’t understand why you don’t consider it music for artists or producers with balls. For me, any individual who belongs to this category must have an extraordinary sense of taste, even before compositional talent (technical, not stylistic). And if you lack good taste, it's better that you don't even approach Ambient. Otherwise, two synths and that's it!

Psycho, perhaps – I'm speaking hypothetically since I was still young at the time – more than calling them overrated, I’d tend to see all the "hype" around them as a "collecting" mania. I’ve never heard anyone praise them for their work, or rather, they are always judged with ordinary adjectives, without any exaltation. And rationally, that’s what they deserve. But these really drive me crazy, they’re so silly!
