The Bloody Beetroots Romborama

I'm sorry to say this, but this review is crap. Not only did you frame the Bloody Beetroots in a socio-musical context that doesn't belong to them (Hardcore Techno?!), but you also failed to grasp their artistic and stylistic aspirations. They do nothing but Electro. Call it Nu Disco, Nu Rave, Nu Electro, Electro Breaks. But it has a name. The same goes for Justice, Sebastian, Pro7, Boyz Noize, Cyberpunkers, and the whole scene (the road from Ed Banger to La Valigetta is short). Moreover, as a reference point for the Italian electronic scene, you cite Gigi D'Agostino, who was popular in cheesy clubs ten years ago. The Italian electronic scene, beyond the Electro branch, is alive and well. And it certainly doesn't limit itself to that universe. There’s an undergrowth of Breaks, Drum & Bass, Tekno, and IDM producers that you can't even imagine. Not to mention the world of Techno (or Techno Minimal), but that's another area that, to be honest, makes me cringe. And above all, the club aesthetic and ethics are intrinsic to the Bloody Beetroots and not separate entities, as you suggest with "just know that Italian electronic music is running faster than the Italian club scene." Come on, maybe Electronic music isn't your cup of tea.

Oh Cappio, look, that "emo" wasn’t meant to have a negative connotation as you think. I just intended to shorten the word "emotiva," but thinking about it, I should have written it correctly. I wouldn’t have taken it well either. Especially because reading about things like this does me good right now. I double down and it’s all the same as before (?!).

In hindsight, after so many many many more listens, the album has somewhat diminished for me. In this sense, the three stars proved to be prescient. "Gullible's Travail" can be quite a symbol of this shift in opinions. Initially, it charms with its pragmatically perfect nature, but over time, in its length, it also reveals all the weaknesses of Motorpsycho from 2006 to 2010. "Starhammer" and "W.B.A.T" are still two great blasts, huh!

If they are personal feelings, then I raise my hands. Sorry if I seemed presumptuous.

Really well done emo review.

The "less complex" aspect of Lustmord and the comparison to Baudelaire I don't understand. Or rather, I don't find parallels between the two artists.

Oh, I’ve heard the tracks linked in the review and they seriously deserve the attention. The Electro Dub component is what makes the difference.

And then, genius, if you didn't get it, when I said: "the fact that you already suggested some works - great one from the Red House Painters, I don't know the other one - which, from my point of view, still remain more underground than stuff like Low," I meant that maybe to start getting into this kind of music, more "known" and explicative bands like Low or Black Heart Procession would be better. As a friend of mine would say, mòbbast.

What sweet little teddy bears these three guys on the cover are. I just want to give them some raspberry kisses on their cheeks. Silly little things!

You're feeling bad, Pinkholler. If you want, I can suggest where to get some opioids; maybe they'll calm you down. Back to us: "my perplexity came from your rudeness." Good. I assume there's plenty of rudeness on DeBaser, a site where people exchange advice (requested or not); this isn't the first similar case. And no one took it as personally as you did. You talk to me about egocentrism. And a person who says: "then you thought of inserting yourself into a conversation between a user and the reviewer in which the latter was recommending records on request. You disinterested yourself in the review and me, writing calmly what you would have recommended in my place." Isn't that wanting to be the center of attention? I quote the terms you used: "me," "my review," "in my place," "between a user and the reviewer." If this isn't egocentrism... questions and unambiguous answers. "you don't see anything cultured blah blah blah. neither do I, I never said it." Yes, you did: "the impulse to flaunt his musical culture." Ah, and let's not forget: "I didn't recommend niche bands. because you recommend bands based on how unknown they are, maybe to be cooler?" followed by: "I write about people who are less known and little or not reviewed to help readers in their searches. groups about which I had difficulty navigating in their discography when I approached them unless I wanted to listen to all the nonsense by Scaruffi. that's why I don't write reviews about people who sell tons of records and are very well-known." And why should your intent be humanitarian (to make the unknown known) while mine is self-pleasuring (to flaunt some supposed vast culture)? I think I don't need to comment on this, as the two sentences are already self-explanatory. One last thing: "in the economy of the web, they would only serve to feed my ego." And having, probably, the only Italian page related to an album or a band isn't enriching your ego? Maybe the intent was more "noble," to introduce a niche band to the masses, as stated above. Right. Furthermore, in 21 days of DeBaser, you've written four reviews and only commented on those. And thank goodness you had high and sharing ideals. Pinkholler: the man of contradictions.
