Yes, inaugurating a decade with the land of the spider is not something everyone can do.

Kranky, Dischord, ok. But also In The Red, Jade Tree, Matador, Siltbreeze, Rip Off, Skin Graft, Hanson, Revelation, and Kill Rock Stars. In short, what a mess in the nineties.

It has nothing to do with it (or in a sense, yes), have you heard the latest from Fucked Up?

The best definition, as is often the case, was provided by Vice, likening them to an improbable combination of Motorpsycho/Mclusky. In any case, this is my Italian album of the year, as well as one that will undoubtedly appear in the end-of-year charts.

Avant-garde Post Punk peaks, in my humble opinion, "154," "Metal Box" (but also "Flowers Of Romance") and "Y."

Up to this point, the discography of the Fall would make any band, contemporary or not, envious. Off the top of my head, I can only think of Fugazi as a band that has released such a perfectly balanced series of albums between excellent/stunning/masterpiece. Anyway, come on, their albums aren't that hard to find; I even have this one in its first pressing from Beggar's Banquet (and I didn't get it back in the day).

Put back on after a while and... if only we had some today.
Lime Spiders Slave Girl
Voto:
The latest from Left Lane Cruiser is well-made, as usual, but it feels the least "focused" among their albums. The Lime Spiders, on the other hand, what a delight, six tracks to make them one of the best Aussie bands!
Thurston Moore Demolished Thoughts
Voto:
Iceage, Teenage Panzerkorps, Peaking Lights, Butcher Mind Collapse, Low, Gazebo Penguins, and Dirty Beaches are among the first best things that come to mind from 2011.

Absolutely fantastic audio, just like the whole Therapy Session scene, with the master Technical Itch in control.
