Anyway, this is a pointless controversy, since my first comment was about an overrated band, not a terrible band.

Perhaps we didn't understand each other, I said that the Cure are not bad, but that before claiming they are the best, we need to consider what other bands were around at that time... if they were indeed the best in their particular genre, that's a different matter. I argue that THEY WERE NOT THE ABSOLUTE BEST.

@carlo cimmino.......the album in question is from 1980..so let's take the decade 1976-1986...the 8 bands above: PINK FLOYD (1977 - animals, 1979 the wall, 1983 - the final cut are clearly superior to this album by the cure)...then AC DC, CLASH, LED ZEPPELIN, GENESIS, KISS, VELVET UNDERGROUND, YES....but I could keep going for a long time (for example the sex pistols are superior to the cure for me, but it doesn't matter..I mentioned 8, and 8 it is).

@fedezan76....what the hell do you want? Oasis made the HISTORY of the 90s, The Cure, I never said they're crap, I just said that during that time there were AT LEAST 8 BANDS THAT WERE CLEARLY SUPERIOR, if you want I can list them all for you.
