I don't know bossa nova, the only thing I know about Brazil is Veloso (Odradek knows this well...). Recommend something to me, I'm hungry. Core, great review, what can I say. I don't like long reviews, I usually stop reading them halfway, but you're the exception.

Great review, concise and emotional, well done...here comes the anecdote: many years ago, when I was stepping on the stages of Italian venues (Lazio, to be precise) with my band, we played with a band that explicitly referenced Kansas (they even did a cover during the night). They had a nice sound, really good. I've never heard them. Can you recommend their best album so I can start?
Brand New Deja Entendu

it's not stuff for kids. it's emo, the good kind. The kind with heart from the '90s. Beautiful album, intense, melancholic (as you rightly say). I find the next one "The devil..." a bit inconsistent, the previous one too pop-punk. But with this one, BN hit the mark big time. 4.5

@DREAMWARRIOR: look, after the "betrayal" there was reconciliation. So I listen to everything without being ashamed of anything; music is beautiful precisely for this. In my car, I have Ratt and Crashdiet, Tortoise and Slint, Entombed and Jaga Jazzist. For me, they all hold the same value and artistic dignity.

Hello everyone. Scattershot responses: @Fedezan: the 5 represents the maximum in the ā€œgenreā€; in the glam/street scene, this is a masterpiece, so 5! :-) @Anatas: hey dear, how are you doing? @Core a core: brother, your post gave me chills down my spine. And also made my eyes teary.

Yes, the actor's name is Fred something (I can't remember the last name). The movie wasn't too bad: am I wrong or was June played by Uma Thurman?

In the infinite sea of releases, I had marked this one at the time and then forgotten it. So, I can't tell you, at least not now. The bands that are similar to Peter I really like, anyway. I’ll review it later.

@Coglionazzo: yes, very intimate. To the reviewer: I share every single comma of your writing. Flawless review for a masterpiece of world literature. Everyone should read it; it should be taught in schools. I read it when I was 14, and it changed my life (or at least my adolescence, which is the same thing). No other work had such a disruptive, unhinging force on me afterward. From these pages, Life emerges. Seminal fluid pours out. Due to censorship, Miller was considered by critics to be a "pornographic" writer, almost a caricature. Ridiculous. This overshadows a good part of the narrative voices of the early 1900s, Hemingway above all. His prose is a delight for the eyes and the mind. Genius.

I take up the invitation of the good Fedezan (hello!): Out of the Cellar. The immortal ā€œtopastri,ā€ coming soon to these pages. Stay tuned (is that how you say it?).

too pompous for me, the Winger; never liked them. I have more down-to-earth tastes. Crashdiet, in this genre, are a fundamental band. Anyone who's into Street/glam/sleaze cannot ignore the absolute worth of their debut. In my opinion, it's right up there with the first L.A. Guns, the first Ratt, the second Faster, and the first Motley. Amen.
