Good craft movie. It should be watched with an innocent, disenchanted eye (as I always do when I sit down in my chair to watch a film). I liked Di Caprio; the criticisms aimed at him seem a bit trivial. The only thing: I would have wanted a more "ambiguous" ending and less set. Nevertheless, I agree with all of Mopaga's comments.

Beautiful review (especially the last part, which is of impressive lyricism) of a book I bought years ago and that has been gathering dust on the shelf. One day I'll read it. For me (born in '75), the '80s were all about Japanese cartoons, scraped knees, the '82 World Cup, first crushes, first kisses, the carefree days that later turned into nostalgia.
