The Donnas Spend The Night

Fuck, I hadn't seen you in a while, I was starting to worry. I have a couple of burned CDs of them, nothing special, not even for the holidays stuck at home for three days which, by the way, I envy you like hell (I haven't done it in 3 days, and I probably won't do it again). However, I fondly remember both "take it off" and the cover of "too fast for love" by Crue (oh, and also "round and round" sung together with Stephen Pearcy). The review is as spectacular and hilarious as usual. The Crashdiet are getting closer...

I had just listened to Crimson. I'll go with the other 2 you mentioned, then. My musical tastes? From Burt Bacharach to Dillinger Escape Plan, with everything in between ;)

They are the Clash. Yes, it's true, the greatest band in the history of rock. Period. Six points.

I listened to an album of theirs from a few years back, and I didn't mind it at all. The sounds were goth-punk, tinged with wave colors. You seem to be knowledgeable about the band; can you recommend me a couple of albums? Good review.

Thanks to the latest updates. @WALDO: who are you telling... ;) @ALIEN: yes, the Happy Mondays are very relevant. Do you like the Appleseed? I'm glad to hear that.

@500VANESSE: they fit, they fit... and it's not just me saying it, but the same singer of VM (Simone Lenzi, to be precise.) @CAPPIOALPOLLO: I also think they can be found in a single element: not in Baustelle, indeed. But these are just opinions.

I take up the invitation from good Schizoid and pose a question: shall we bet that the (few) comments this album receives will all be positive and praise for the band? Reason? It’s soon said: the Virginiana are harmless because they haven't had success, unlike the hated (and stylistically similar, according to Simone Lenzi) Baustelle. The VM on the other hand are sitting pretty in their little indie circuit, and they're well liked by everyone. Heaven help them if they were to achieve success (which I doubt: unlike the B., they don’t have any pop flattery; their writing is very refined): the day after they would be publicly dragged through the mud. Poor Italy... that said, I loved "Gelaterie Sconsacrate" very much, which contains "tutti al mare," one of the most beautiful Italian songs of all time. I will listen to this.

I am a lover of music without borders. I'm slowly (timidly) approaching prog; maybe I'll listen to it someday. You, as usual, very good. You've been spraying lately too, huh? ;)
