a clarification to the clarification of comment no. 40 by MEMENTOMORI: "where stoner, in my opinion, skillfully combines the Sabbath heaviness with blues..." is not accurate. The Sabbath (especially those from the first 2-3 albums) already had blues elements in their sound; just think, for example, of the harmonica in "The Wizard"... stoner ACCENTUATES the blues component already present in Sabbath. To understand where stoner comes from, especially the American one, I believe you need to listen to "Kick out the jams" by MC5 and imagine it heavier, slower, and more drugged out; that's where it all nearly lies.

Marked by time. Your review made me want to get it back as soon as possible. You hit the mark.

I would have loved to see them live with Sigur Ros... you can tell you're at the beach, 4.5 review... eh eh, it's all about relaxing here... :-)

Probably, thanks to you, I will listen to these too. Fedezan is okay, he reached out to me privately.

I didn't particularly like the review, let me explain why: I find the musical renewal orchestrated by Cathedral for this album to be one of the most intelligent I've come across in recent times, blending hard seventies sounds and stoner rock into their classic doom fabric. It's not that these sounds weren't present before, but they are much more pronounced here. It's no coincidence that the album in question was panned by the more "hardline" segment of the metal critique. The review is playfully sarcastic, but I believe you should have emphasized this aspect more, as it seems crucial to understanding "The guessing game." That said, your recommendations are always valuable. Best regards.

@VODOO: coldly, without thinking: Bowie (already mentioned), Fugazi (same), Husker Du, Wire, Mudhoney, Melvins, Meat Puppets, Flaming Lips, Can, Funkadelic, Sigur Ros, Fela Kuti, Karate, Okkervil River, Wilco....keep going

the played keypad like this is part of the genre, of a deliberately simple and naif "indie" aesthetic (I don't like the term). At least I think so ;)

At this point, I really believe we were separated at birth. There's no other explanation. This is one of the few albums I've recently purchased that convinced me a great deal, so much so that I even started drafting a review. Downtempo, yes. Hypnagogic pop, too. In other words: how to combine the Flaming Lips with the Zero 7-Air axis. Sublime. I thought it was a genre far from your taste. Pleasantly, I was wrong. Ah, impeccable review as always, but why do I even mention it?
