Los Campesinos! Sticking Fingers Into Sockets EP

As you suggested, I told them to shove it. I mean: nice guys, but nothing special. Ah, the fellow countrymen (whom I adore) the Manics have nothing to do with it :) You could have replied to the girl like this (forgive the pronunciation): ti si magnata la satizzu? e mo cagasti u lazzu!

I only know them by name; for a lover of such sounds like me, it's a sin I must atone for as soon as possible. I really like how you write.

It's incredible how aligned our listening tastes are. I haven't listened to these, but they're at the top of my wanted list. The opening of the review is skin-crawling. Chapeau.

@DR. FOTT: the comments: "wow, they even have people requesting songs like a jukebox!" (when you could hear someone asking for a specific track) or: "I wouldn't buy them the CD even under threat"...and then the incessant (and loud) chatting during the folk and acoustic pieces...with the help of two or three too many beers, my friend (who does Thai boxing) and I started to calmly insult them, and in the end, they calmed down and were applauding too. But what a drag, the same story every time...

An important comeback, both for the former RT and for Irondo. I haven't listened to the album yet, but I believe it’s worth it. The old lions of the '90s are back to roar (also see Massimo Volume): a good, very good thing.

I went to see them last night in Rome. Great concert, but there are two things that really got on my nerves: the duration (an hour and a quarter for 17 euros is quite scandalous) and especially the guys making sarcastic comments behind you; I hope this is an exclusively Roman plague (particularly at the Circolo degli Artisti) but these radical chic really pissed me off; why do they go to concerts (spending money) if they don't even like the band? Hilarious review, well done Andrea (nice joke)!

I felt a similar sensation of "captivation" (brrr, forgive the license) today as well, in the car, listening to "Rated O" by Oneida on my way home. They have nothing to do with Madrugada (whom I don't know), and the environmental situation was obviously different (it hardly rains where I am, he he...take that). But, you know, I wanted to share this with my favorite cagaspruzzo. Great review, just had to say it.

I listened to the previous one: great moments, paired with other tedious ones instead. I don't know.

Nice review, simple and heartfelt. I know a bit about the Swans, but they're not exactly my daily bread.

I believe you want from music (and perhaps from life) the same things I want. Trivial or not, this is the truth. They kick the asses of sparrows. Great band, even though I don't know the album in question. 4.5 for their career.
