All hail the 80s garage revival... Fleshtones, Fuzztones, Chesterfield Kings are amazing bands. A genre I discovered later, but one that has brought me a lot of satisfaction. I've only heard about these bands, now I'm going to get my hands on them. Thank you. Great review. P.S. Why don't you write something about the Morlocks?

Well, I don't know... impeccable review (you write well, you have a nice style) but I don't share the positive opinions... I found this work excessively fragmented, often uneven, boring at times. Experiment, yes, without many pretensions, I would add. "Still" and "Island..." are very beautiful, but the rest is easily forgettable. If you have 20 euros to spend, it's better to turn to the main project of Our, which has much more depth. Always and strictly "in my opinion."

well done review. I confess that I have a bit of fear about listening to the album: fear of being disappointed, despite the many positive comments that are floating around. For me as well, AIC was mostly Staley. Anyway: there's no point in discussing the reasons for the reunion, whether they did it for the vile pecunia or driven by a genuine artistic fire... sterile discussions that are pointless. If the record is good, hats off to Cantrell and the guys, who after all these years still have something worthwhile to say. Otherwise, it will just be another failed reunion. But I repeat, I don't know if I will listen to it.

@HELL: perfect! look, "The Angel..." I'll take the original, I found it at a low price online. for the rest, I'll resort to torrent. I'll let you know as soon as possible. Thanks for your prompt reply. Have a good evening. Ah, congrats on the reviews of Deathspell Omega, another band that intrigues me instead of :)

So, brother Hell, I still need your help (and also brother Faith, if he happens to be around). As you might have gathered from the exchanges about the Marduck review, I'm not very well-versed in black/death/doom... I come from other genres. Even though I listened to a lot of metal as a teenager, in the following years I shifted to other sounds. Without blinders or prejudices, lately, thanks to torrents (heh heh), I've been getting back into this kind of music. I’d like to listen to these guys, but let me explain: my metalhead brother played them for me (one of their early works), but I didn't like them: too death. I would love to hear something more “gothic,” more decadently romantic... Perhaps “A Line...” could be for me? The same goes for Katatonia, Tiamat, Anathema... recommend some albums, I trust your opinion. Cheers!

Hey Zion, have you gotten really into these French horrors? Anyway, this one, unlike "Martyrs," I haven't seen... I couldn't download it from the internet... can someone help me out? Great review as usual, this time you didn't give us the scoop :) So, is it even more violent than Martyrs?
