close relatives of the Pelican, huh? (who can’t hit a record even if you threaten them with castration) mmmmmmmmmmm....I don’t know...the review is good, you almost tempt me, but I don’t know...maybe yes, maybe no.

You’re crushing them like that, huh? To be honest, I only know the 2 albums you mentioned, both masterpieces, I agree with you. I don’t know Puzzle, but I would’ve bought it blindly (a thing I reserve for an increasingly small elite). At this point, given our often coinciding tastes (I also agree with your judgment on FF), I’ll listen first, then if necessary, I’ll buy. I’ve listened closely to Iride, I’ll message you soon for an exchange of opinions/comments. Cheers.

Due to the passing years, due to work fatigue, due to friends scattered here and there (more there than here), I'm missing a ton of concerts that I would otherwise love to see. This is one of those. damn it, I would add.

What a drag, I wanted to review this! I recently discovered Biffy (with "Vertigo Of Bliss," a sensational album), and I find them one of the freshest and most convincing realities in the current guitar band scene. Never banal, never obvious. Anyway, great review, well done. Just one thing: how the hell do you manage to review albums just a week after their release? Maybe it's because I don't have much time to dedicate to listening, but a week seems a bit short.

@FRANCI: when we talk about indie rock, we’re not just referring to "independent" bands (that is, not signed to a major label) that play rock... it seems too simplistic as a concept. If Pavement had recorded the same albums for Sony instead of Matador, would they still be considered indie? So, I agree with CAZPUNTINI and reject FRANCI. And by the way: does this album sound like the Franz Arctic Strokes??? No, because if that’s the case, I wouldn’t even give it a listen. Please describe it better. Good review and welcome!
