For your information, taken from Ondarock, author Mauro Roma: "What appears on The Golden Age of Grotesque (Interscope, 2003) is, however, a tired Manson, without a shred of ideas, spinning aimlessly on himself, unsure how to breathe life back into a mask as empty as his music. Manson tries to reinvent his career by drawing inspiration from burlesque, undoubtedly influenced by his highly publicized relationship with model Dita Von Teese. This says it all about the musical value of an album that is all surface, actually inconsistent, repetitive, and completely lacking in bite."
