Review of Altissima Qualità, N.H. DeSade, it has been at least five years since I last listened to Closer and the JD (after all, we’ve been listening to them for almost 30 years, haven’t we?), except for Love Will Tear Us Apart collected in various renditions by a hundred different artists, and I don’t think I’ll be revisiting either the vinyls or the disks. Arriving with a considerable delay to Your work, I find the atmosphere in which You have placed Your reflections to be perfect: just one question, out of mere curiosity: in what year did you first listen to Unknown Pleasures and Closer?

Summer 1977, Island of ****, 3 pilgrims find refuge in the "rustic" of the television producer P******, thanks to the intercession of his daughter E***, who, along with her grandmother, finds them athletic and intelligent for performances in the private pool (dive rolls, twists, belly flops). In the Franciscan cell, a few discs are available for post-coital and post-alcoholic awakenings: A Trick of the Tail, Year of the Cat, and Figli delle Stelle. With Alan, we fly, let alone with Bees! A bit too school-like and, as Dr. Fottermeier says, suited for superficial listening; if I’m looking for Zeppelin-like riffs, I’ll listen to Them Crooked Vultures (not memorable but at least Doc dop etc.). Careful and judicious review.

When I was young, the Cure were simply New Wave: Boys Don't Cry and/or Three Imaginary Boys are masterpieces of great music in absolute terms: the fact that Mr. Smith looked like a silly wig-wearing guy tending towards the plump side and thus became a guru for those poor dark mannequins doesn't affect me.
