"Tribute to David Foster Wallace Gioele Dix reads A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again," I read in the program of the Book Fair. Strange pairing, maybe it works. One fun thing I will do again is reread portions of Infinite Jest, skipping the wheelchair assassins that I don't particularly care for. Long live Don Gately! (well, I guess, it’s just a figure of speech)

Listened after the Guessing Game Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine, with Sunni and pleasant company: it's curious that the singer - the handsome doomster - is the same... and so far, I prefer Cathedral to the assorted monoliths in this particular case. I move on to the transalpine Alcest, and I am astonished: what can be described as doom and sweetness intertwined, flawlessly fused... I thank the reviewer for the inspiration that led me to multiple listens... just a curiosity: do Alcest have anything to do with Amesoeurs? (if so, our doomsters are two-faced!)

Interesting pairing of Cathedral + Teletubbies. I'm into Black Sabbath, and definitely vintage hard rock (or heavy metal?). Here and there a hint of Stranglers (just a couple of drops, maybe because of that beautiful bass). La Noche etc my favorite track.

Well done, as usual, Dear Punisher. And to think that I started reading Bukowski and set aside comic magazines (Linus, Alter Alter) forever, I would say in 1979. Nowadays, I enjoy Mandrake and the very first Popeye. 5 forever to Chinaski. I believe books seek us out; I just hope that some of those you’ve reviewed don't find me! :)
