Great review, you captured the mood of the album. As for the record, well, to me it's superb, and for those who criticize it, I think at the end of the day, tastes are tastes. If they don't like it, I can justify them by bringing up a certain intrinsic difficulty in listening to such a work that I take in when I'm in certain states of mind and when my mind enjoys traveling to cold and naturally isolated places!

"Angel Of Disease" is a bit of a special case as it was not written during the recording period of Covenant but much earlier; however, if you like that one, I think you might enjoy "Altar Of Madness."

Taurus generally always use the growl, but in the Tucker era there are also openings to the scream, while in the Vincent era we have a more "high" guttural (by high I mean not deep like in Covenant for example, better to be precise otherwise I'll get flayed alive ihihihhih) in "Altar Of Madness."

I absolutely didn't want to contradict you or create controversy; I just wanted to say where I got my information (otherwise it seems like I made it up out of thin air). Anyway, I repeat, I don't doubt what you claim, as I'm not a musicologist, but just someone who enjoys listening to the music that pleases him.
