About a year ago, Goran Bregovic came to play around my area for a local festival!!! There were elderly people from the town who brought folding chairs from home, unaware of who "that singer with the strange name" was, and then there were the young (old inside) locals, presumably fans of Ligabue and similar rubbish, who left the concert after twenty minutes to focus on the bars and various stalls. In short, by the end of the concert, there were about thirty drunk people jumping and singing under the stage. And it didn't seem like Bregovic was begging for money...

Madò Stoney, you’re really right, the problem is another one, actually it’s two! The guys from Lecce are fleeing from this shithole of a city and flooding the universities of what was once the Beautiful Country with their fucking Sud Sound System and their fucking reggae bullshit (and what a drag!!!). It wouldn’t be a big deal if it weren’t for the fact that, like in a Dantesque circle, by the law of contrapasso, our University gets invaded by out-of-town students who come to Lecce all happy as if they were heading off to have fun in Jamaica. The venues, the event and concert organizers, etc. are riding the wave, so here you can only find dancehall and that crap music.
