Horace Silver Blowin' the Blues Away

@conte it should be clear that when it comes to the Horace Silver Quintet, I can't be objective. That's why I don't even try! I love the sound, I love their way of playing =)
Bruce Springsteen Born In The U.S.A.

Great album, no doubt about it, but Born to Run is superior. I’m not talking about the other albums from the '70s because I’ve never listened to them all the way through (even if based on what I’ve heard...)
You're right, Born in the USA is a snapshot of America in the '80s, but I don't consider it the musical pinnacle of Springsteen. He’s a more diverse artist than he seems in this album, and the '80s sound is just one of many he’s embraced. Between Born in the USA, the acoustic masterpieces, the electric gems from the '70s, and the solid recent works, there are plenty of differences...

I don’t know, ā€œverità supposteā€ contains many masterpieces, but in its entirety it lacks a bit of sound unity, something that I instead find in ā€œhabemus capaā€ (which I have listened to, but never all at once) and ā€œle dimensioni del mio caos.ā€ From what little I’ve heard, I feel a certain continuity in the sound here, but that’s not the point... I don’t know, I hope to change my mind, since I've already bought the ticket for the concert. Capa, don’t let me down!

I listened to something, it's not that I didn't like it, it's just that it didn't convince me on the first listen like in the past. Maybe it just takes a bit of time...
See you on April 9th in Senigallia, capa.
