Italo Svevo La Coscienza Di Zeno
Voto:
@ Deep-Frenk you’re absolutely right about the health-disease contrast, I completely forgot about it...and yet it’s the cornerstone of the book! So much so that Zeno marries Augusta not only to maintain some contact with Ada (a reason that will later lose its importance) but also because he admired her "health" in contrast to the illness he felt he had.

I didn't make references to Svevo's other works because I haven't read them yet; I will try to remedy that. I preferred not to make rash and unfounded references =)
Terry Gilliam Parnassus - L'Uomo Che Voleva Ingannare Il Diavolo
Voto:
Decent...sometimes it's a bit convoluted and it's hard to keep up with the plot, but overall it's a good film. Great Tom Waits as the devil. And I love the idea of three actors replacing Heath Ledger inside Parnassus's mind: before knowing the reasons, I thought it was because, being a bad and deceitful Tony (which is revealed at the end of the film), his being was never the same, constantly changing. Then I found out that the reasons were much more practical, but it's an interpretation I'm proud of =)
ps: no one has pointed out the striking resemblance between Parnassus and Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus, which is evident. I mean, nothing new on the western front, right!
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble Texas Flood

Oh no, because I really love the blues; there are artists who play it without grinding my gears... what can I say, I might have a particular aversion to Vaughan, but for 90% of his work, I find it indifferent, if not irritating.

Ace Frehley Anomaly

I've always been drawn to Ace as a solo artist... anyway, 2000 Man is by the Rolling Stones.
Ron Carter Pick 'Em
Voto:
I don't know Carter as a solo artist, but I already idolize him now that I only know him from the Miles period (and with Hancock)... you’ve piqued my curiosity! Besides this and "Super Strings," which of his albums are truly worthy?
