The cover is a solemn, vigorous, visceral "But why?"

Detestable group. I want to be objective though, because this album is nice. In fact, I would say that at times it’s really beautiful. Like the first one by Muse, another fucking band. Both very Radiohead, Pablo Honey period: in Don't Panic it’s obvious.

I only have a 7" of this, Fake Blues, I like it a lot. Is it lo-fi too?

All for you, Nes. You should know that Mark Harris doesn't come off very well, I even avoided commenting on it.

Nes, maybe I was superficial in my commentary, but I don't believe I was in my judgment. Hotel Supramonte, while beautiful, has always seemed to me to be just too easy: it is the most predictable musical and poetic unfolding - for those who know De André, it’s clear - of the experience it draws inspiration from. Far be it from me to say it should be discarded, but it is a minor song, and no, it doesn't hold a candle to the entire discography of De Gregori. As for Quello che non ho, I can't think of anything better to write, so I quote Iside: "De André cannot be a Rock'n'rolla and this work proves it." He could have written one ballad like Se ti tagliassero a pezzetti a day; it’s not Sally, and it’s not that enchanting. Note that the two Sardinians here (me & Iside) have been the strictest with the album. Noblesse oblige.

5 for the passion and for the Italian, but you didn't convince me: this album is a badly wasted opportunity. The only truly successful song is Fiume Sand Creek, the rest is mediocre - by De Andrè's standards, of course - except for Quello che non ho and Verdi pascoli, which are just two disasters.

I liked the 4 the most, it’s beautiful. Perhaps it’s because it’s more of a shooter.
