Beautiful, really. Between this and the Meat Puppets, you have no idea how much I envy you, Pretazzo. Do you have a favorite from the album? I adore Frank Mills. And anyway, he, along with J Mascis, whom you rightly mention, not only composes melodies that I don’t know what they do to me, but also has that perpetual nonchalance, that "I don’t give a damn about anything" vibe, that kind of feeling that makes people who have been at it for more than twenty years still not really believe in what they do—it's that air that makes them even more fascinating. Beautiful album, at times - The Stars Of Track and Field, Like Dylan in the Movies - absolutely wonderful. Too bad about the Emme review, but you'll make up for it.

I agree with almost everything. As for the album: what a drag.

The connection I find with some of your reflections is chilling, and I can see it here too, in the reaction you had. I could have done the same and played the same song, since - damn, it seems incredible - I too have had my moments with the Pixies, on the train, during a particular time in my life. I think you are always very sincere, as well as very good.
