I still haven't listened to it, damn, I'm expecting something really beautiful. Like you <3

Sooner or later, I will have to, for sure.

Behind all of this, there is an aesthetic that I don’t understand.

I wanted to write it too: I completely agree on everything. Simple yet carefully crafted arrangements, medium to good inspiration (still the best since Daisies, IMHO); Bombs Away is truly a blast, really great stuff. By the way, I haven't listened to it in a while, and I realize I’ve retained a lot from this album: more than a Shootenanny, for sure. This one is a bit like the Monster of the Eels, and indeed, it's orange as well. Not a 5, but I’ll give it one. Long live the Eels, long live Trattore, long live long live long live.

Given the references, it looks like good stuff to me. Horrible title.

It ends up that I will listen to him, but when it comes to concepts I guess I’m super demanding: for me even “Tutti morimmo a stento” is pretentious.

Overall a good album. It was the album of rebirth. Tea for One, even though it’s a self-reference to “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” is beautiful. Achille’s Last Stand is nice but lasts too long. “For Your Life” is pleasant to listen to.

Spectacular film, regardless of the ideological content – which is, in fact, not one-dimensional at all. I eagerly await Extro, which will come to give one.

It’s a 5, but not a full one. Masterpieces: Losing my religion; Half a world away; Country feedback. Minor masterpieces: Radio song; Shiny happy people. Great: Near wild heaven; Texarkana; Low. I’ve always seen Shiny Happy People as a kind of Hey Jude: an adult trying to comfort a child: “There is no time to cry.” Viewed this way, it’s far from irritating and childish. Too bad that Near wild heaven and Texarkana are sung by Mills, who can’t sing, despite being a genius of backing vocals. What a bad timbre! When Stipe steps in, the song soars. The peak of the album is not the beautiful Losing my religion, but the incredible Half a world away, with that moving acoustic intro and a melody that could touch even a heart of stone. A spine-tingling, soul-stirring, goosebump-inducing song, whatever you want to call it. The other two are good. They could have been released as B-sides. In any case, the REM on this album were in a state of grace and couldn't write bad songs. In any case, we can forgive two subpar songs in a gem of an album – after all, even Sgt. Pepper has two minor songs like Help from my friends and Lovely Rita.
